* Several years of experience in Linux administration coupled with a the ability to write complex scripts
on Linux systems (Perl, Python,..) and solid SQL expertise.
* Previous and proven experience with hands-on support for production environments in a Java/Linux/mySQL or similar environment: creation and deployment of configuratons,
system architecture and integration, remote installations and maintenance, monitoring, reporting, system hardening and data security, data backups,
coordination with client/customer technical staff and support, ...
* Proven experience in system administration for open source application servers and services: Apache/Tomcat, Resin, sshd, NFS, LVS, MySQL, postfix, DNS, Perforce/CVS/Subversion, ...
* A strong understanding of networking and web principles, basic IP routing, load balancing, caching, persistence, high availability, etc.
* Strong verbal and written skills (french and english) coupled with good organizational skills
* A proven willingness to interact regularly with Application Development, Quality Assurance and Product management teams

Senior Application Developers
Location: Paris, France & Prague, Czech Republic
At Avedya you will have the opportunity to work with equally talented people in an informal and flexible
environment, building web and mobile services (blogging, chat, media sharing, matchmaking) that are used by
hundreds of thousands of end users every day. You will be responsible for all parts of the development
lifecycle beginning with design and architecture all the way through programming and post launch optimizations.
Requirements :
* 4+ years of successful experience with web software development
* Excellent software engineering and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively with remote staff members; good interpersonal skills
* English fluency; French a plus
* Degree in Computer Science
* Strong knowledge of Spring and Hibernate frameworks
* Experience with HTML/JavaScript programming, Struts or Java Server Faces (JSF)
* Experience with or strong knowledge of the following:
- Ant

Marketing Product Manager
Your mission: You will have complete responsibility over one or several products, from concept to implementation phases.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Customer relationships: you will be the interface between Avedya & customer teams
- Understanding customer needs and constraints (marketing & technical) and translating them internally
- Design and functional specifications of projects (features, user experience, ?)
- Coordination of internal skills & third party partners and subcontractors to insure services and deliveries for the customer
- Reaching objectives, planning & budget
- Qualitative and quantitative reporting
- Identifying business & technical opportunities on the accounts you will be in charge of
- Monitoring & optimizing results
You will vouch for project commitments in terms of cost, time to market and quality.
You will also be the main driving force behind any improvement related to your products.
Profile & skills
- Education and experience
- 27/32 years old, graduated from a high business or engineer school, you have a successful experience (from 2 to 5 years) as project or product manager on mobile, Internet or multimedia. A good knowledge of community services and youth market would be a plus.
- Fluent English and French are pre-requisites, German is a plus.
